Memorial Weekend
at Dancing Peacock Paradise

3:00 - 4:30 Enjoy the property & lake: swimming, boating, hammocking, & conversation
4:45 Potluck setup
5:00 Potluck Dinner
5:45 – 6:00 Crystal Bowl Concert with Manny Gross
6:00 - 8:00 Dances of Universal Peace
8:00 - 8:30 Desserts
8:30 - 9:30 Zikr (deeper spiritual dance practices)

This month’s dance will start later in the day, after an early potluck dinner, but come at the usual time to celebrate our being together in nature.

Crystal Bowl Concert with Manny Gross

After dinner we will have the special treat of relaxing in the dance room while being caressed by the sounds of crystal bowls. Manny will prepare us for zikr by coaxing the bowls to sing.
Approximately 5:45 – 6:00.

Florida Leader Named to INDUP Board of Directors

DiAnahita Kanoy, a certified Dance leader and mentor in Florida, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Dances of Universal Peace International. She will serve as Vice President and as a member of the Administrative Committee. To learn more about the International Network, visit www.DancesOfUniversalPeace.org

DiAnahita hosts monthly dances at Dancing Peacock Paradise, presents leader training events, leads “outreach” dances and facilitates retreats featuring internationally known leaders. Previously she served as Southern Regional Networker for PeaceWorks and currently is a guide in the Sufi Ruhaniat International.

DiAnahita's background is in education as Director of Conferences at the University of Florida and Professor Emeritus of Public Speaking at the College of Central Florida, where she met Karen Leialoha, who introduced her to the Dances in 1990.

Presently DiAnahita conserves her land, caring for the animals and organic garden, attending dance and Sufi gatherings worldwide.
