New Year's Eve Global Peace Dance Gainesville 2011

In a sacred & joyful candlelit atmosphere, live music, singing, & dancing bring the year to closure & welcome 2012 as we ring bells in the spirit of harmony &  optimism.  Simple circle dances will be taught & all join in.

The same peace mantras are being sung in Dance circles throughout the world, offering a vibration of peace rippling around the Globe.

Our moments of conscious peacefulness and joy will go out with us in our lives, affecting others & radiating into the Earth's atmosphere.

These dances are a form of spiritual practice for many dancers, & you can help maintain the sacred, joyful atmosphere as we sing & dance.

It is customary to sing whole-heartedly, hold a minute or so of silence after a dance ends, & to refrain from talking throughout the evening.

Those who Love, loving pour forth radiance:
These are the sons & daughters of God.

In my lifetime, Love in every heart.
In my lifetime, Peace, peace on earth.

Event participants' feedback

Thanks Sister of the heart,

Thanks for being such a dear and close friend for so many great years. I admire your passion for the dances and Sufi path and I'm in awe of your natural leadership and musical skills. I marvel at your energy level and wonder how many lives you've touched in sharing the Sufi path.

I'm looking forward to sharing more time and Sufi gatherings with you in the future.

Hugs and aloha, Karen

Diana, thank you so much for hosting and leading the Dances for Universal Peace last night. Truly lovely and nourishing for the soul! Many blessings in the New Year ♥ Cashmere
It was lovely and I so enjoyed it. Will get you off a note in near future. What a wonderful way to start the new year. Savannah and I are going to stay in a positive mood. Hope to see more of you. Georgia
Dear Diana, Your huge spirit carried the day for us all. Thank you for doing this every year. Love, Marilyn

The Global Peace Dance on New Year's Eve was such a wonderful way to end 2011 and bring in 2012. I am SO glad that John and I came. Never having experienced Dances of Universal Peace, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. What I got was joy, love and a lightness about our world that gave me hope and vigor for the New Year. What a fabulous gift. Thank you, Diana, for all you do.

Namaste, Jane

P.S. Wasn't it great how John's demeanor changed from uptightness to joy? I told him I was sending my observation of him to you and he laughed in agreement. Your presence fills the space with clear, connected, sacred energy.

Dear Diana,

I wanted to thank you again for the great job leading and especially for 'There is a Secret One Inside Us'.

Many Blessings, Haqqiqa Lynn

Dear DiAnahita-

The 2011 New Year's Eve Global Peace Dance was simply terrific! Afterwards so many people commented that they felt energized and elevated by it. This will remain with everyone for a long time, and will help us all to build our dance practice individually and as a community. Add one more thanks from me for all of us!
