Last Month's Dance ~ "Holy Names"
An appeal from Patrick Harrigan, our photographer & webmaster.

The Baba Sheikh, Khurto Hajji Ismail, supreme spiritual leader of the Yezidi nation

“May other people meet with happiness before us.
When all the peoples of the earth find happiness,
then only shall we Yezidis find happiness also.”
-Yezidi prayer
Friends,

In 2014, with your encouragement & financial support, I rushed to Washington DC to meet with the Baba Sheikh, supreme spiritual leader of the ancient Yezidi community of northern Iraq, as he was leading Yezidi delegation appealing for help from the White House and the State Department to defend the peaceful and unarmed Yezidi people from death and brutality at the hands of the so-called Islamic State.

Since that time, I have been serving the Baba Sheikh as part of an effort for to ensure security and prosperity for Yezidis inhabiting Ezidikhan, the Yezidi nation. Now only we are going public.

As bureau chief of Ezidikhan's official news bureau, www.ezidikhan.net ‘the Voice of the Yezidis’, I compile, process, edit, and publish Middle East regional news developments that affect Yezidis.

Damon Corrie & Chase Iron Eyes
I am appealing to you and every open-hearted Sufi to recognize, endorse, and support the Yezidis’ first international diplomatic mission, with First Peoples of the New World expressing solidarity with the indigenous peoples of Mesopotamia and the ancient wisdom traditions that they protect and preserve for all humanity.

Consider this as your personal contribution to this joint effort to restore sanity to humanity, starting in heart of the Middle East.

We need to raise money quickly to send two leading American Indian activists, Damon Corrie and Chase Iron Eyes, to northern Iraq to establish Yezidi diplomatic ties with First Peoples the New World and plan further diplomatic missions on behalf of the Baba Sheikh.

His Holiness is expecting their visit next month. But it costs at least $5,000 to send them to Iraq.

For more details, and to make a tax-deductible contribution to this cause, go to our fund raising page for this mission at
https://www.youcaring.com/damoncorrieandchaseironeyes-825282.

I appeal to you for your support of this mission. Count yourself among the Yezidis' supporters, no matter how small or how large your donation may be!

Dancing last Sat. was wonderful.  Your gracious hospitality in that beautiful setting was tonic for mind, body, & soul. Truly felt the presence of the Comforter. Until next time, Linda Martin
